We want you to feel involved and in control of re-mortgaging your home.  This may be to release capital for an exciting project, repay some outstanding debt that is worrying you or just to secure a new rate for peace of mind.  Either way, we can help you find the right mortgage product.  We will manage the entire process for you, but also with you, from start to finish.  All the worries of who to speak to, which documents you need to send and what happens next is taken care of by us, this is what we do!

To give you an idea how we work, we've mapped out how our re-mortgaging process works.  Our entire aim is to find the right mortgage product for you.

Re-mortgaging your existing home

Lets chat and get to know each other a little.  As us questions, have a chat and start to know that we've got you covered.

Fact Finding

Lets meet and have coffee, whether thats face to face, by telephone or a video call.  The objective is to truly understand your needs and priorities now and into the future.

Research Time

We now go and look for the most appropriate lender/product from the whole of the market.  We will provide you with tailored advice to your priorities & your affordability calculation.  Our research and findings will give you understanding of your maximum borrowing amount, especially if you are looking to borrow additional funds!  We will also review your current lender’s offering to see how competitive this is for you and if this is the most appropriate solution, then organise the paperwork for a product switch.

You may have to pay an early repayment charge to your existing lender if you remortgage.


This is where we get together again for a short call so we can fully explain our findings being the most appropriate lender, product and why.  We will go through any fees payable during the process and of course, all the typical monthly repayments now and into the future.  You can ask as many questions as you like, questions are good and if you want a friend or family member present with you, thats fine with us too.

Lets do this

You've decided you'd like to proceed with one of the options we've worked through together, that's great.  What we need now is to give you a bit of a shopping list so we can begin the application process on your behalf.  We'll be asking for documents such as your compliance documents, payslips, bank statements, proof of id and probably a few more!  Again, any questions whatsoever, just let us know.

Agreement in principle

The agreement in principle and full mortgage application has been completed for you so we can secure the product you are happy to proceed with as soon as possible or to tie in with your current product end date.  Did you know the illustration does not guarantee you the rate quoted until the full mortgage application has been completed?

Protection Review

Whilst your mortgage application is progressing it's a good time to make sure you are aware of the importance of protecting you and your home for future events.  We can provide a full review of any existing cover you may already have in place with your employer benefits and any personal policies.   We then look at any shortfalls and what is important to you to address so you do not risk losing your home!

Ongoing support

We will provide ongoing support with your mortgage application through to completion of the new mortgage.  We will regularly monitor the progress of your application and liaise with solicitors and lenders and completely keep you in the loop throughout.  It is really important with a re-mortgage that we know the accurate date your current product finishes so your Solicitor is ready to complete once the early repayment penalty is no longer in place.

Mortgage moves over!

Congratulations! You've done it, your mortgage has now moved over to the new lender.  We will contact you again in the future just before your new mortgage term finishes, that is unless you contact us in the meantime!

    • Responding to all your enquiries and questions within one working day of receiving correspondence
    • We will not charge our professional fee until the mortgage is fully approved and a formal offer is issued
